About Me
I am a young artist living in North Yorkshire. My work is largely inspired by the landscape of swaledale and wensleydale and the coastline of Northumberland. I have an abstract style and like to use colour and shape to express feelings and emotions through pint. I enjoy the process of mark - making and seeing where my work will go next. Most of my work is in acrylic, but I also like to experiment with mixed media and more recently, oils. I Have exhibited quite widely in the local area, including a solo show called 'Let the light back in' at Rural arts in Thirsk, a solo show called 'Lighter than thought' in Bainbridge as part of the Swaledale Festival and several other joint exhibitions in Northumberland. I am also currently working on set of paintings for the Alnmouth arts festival in June 2024 and developing a new series of work for my new solo exhibition titled 'Open' in Amble, Northumberland starting, October and November 2024.
" I found I could say things with colour and shapes that I couldn't say any other way. Things I had no words for"
